Before Completing Your Online Interview

Before you begin your online interview, let us take a few minutes to help better prepare you for your online experience through ALdivorce®. As you move through the process, you will answer questions pertaining to you, your spouse, your marriage, and your children (if applicable). Definitions, explanations, and other valuable resources are provided throughout your interview session.

The better prepared you are to answer your interview questions, the easier it will be for you to move through the process quickly. Below you’ll find a list of documents and information you might find to be helpful when answering your questions. Please keep in mind that not all of the documents and information will apply to you, or your individual situation. Prior to starting your interview, we urge you to try and gather any necessary applicable documents and information you may need.

If you and your spouse are separated/living apart and have already agreed upon the division of certain Household Items and/or other Personal Property AND both of you currently have those items in your possession, YOU WILL NOT NEED TO LIST THOSE ITEMS in your interview. However, you will need to list any and all of the following (even if you have already agreed upon the division of these items):

  3. Joint Financial Accounts
  4. Retirement Accounts
